Every artist has a classic sound source, such as the Rolling Stones' Hampton Coliseum and Pink Floyd's Oakland Coliseum, that you can tell when it's live just by mentioning the venue name. Sam Houston Coliseum for The Beatles. As a famous sound source on the 1965 American tour, the wilder and more vigorous performance than the Hollywood Bowl where the recording for the live album was done as well as the share stadium has been re-evaluated at once in the last 10 years or so. It can be said that it is a live sound source.
It is said that this sound source was recorded from the PA out sound board by the Houston radio station KILT, whose logo is also shown in the stage photo posted on the jacket this time. However, it was an era when the PA system for concerts was finally established, and it was surprisingly cheerful for such a sound board recording (though the audience on that day would have been so noisy). However, there is no evidence that KILT or this sound source was broadcast, and the sound board recording that seems to have been stored at the station leaked in the latter half of the 1970s. "LIVE FROM SAM HOUSTON COLISEUM", which features a light blue butcher cover out-photo from a TMOQ-affiliated label, recorded both day and night stages, and quickly gained a standard position due to its good sound quality.
Tobe Milo, a label that tends to be deified among maniacs, has released "IN PARSON SAM HOUSTON COLISEUM", which contains only the excerpts of the performances of the undercard artist and the night part that I could not hear there, but it is clearly on the tape. The generation was inferior, and there was a big difference in sound quality from the previous light blue jacket. Therefore, in the LP era, light blue jackets and reissues from the same series of BOX TOP labels consistently dominated the market.
