Not surprisingly, all the tapes from the EMI recording session had been discarded for a while after the Beatles debut. Because at the time they were just a trendy pop group, no one (even themselves) expected to be that great. Once the record is complete, the rest is poi. Naturally. The fact that most of the session tapes on their first album still exist while these policies were taken for granted is a miracle. From the work document written there, the very popular "PLEASE PLEASE ME SESSIONS: IN SPECTRAL STEREO" was released after correcting the stereo sound image.
However, this was the only lucky example, and until the latter half of 1963, EMI was throwing away all session tapes. Because of that, only one session tape is left for the next album "WITH THE BEATLES", and no session tape is left for the single "She Loves You". It's an early blockbuster, and it's unlikely that you'll ever find a session of the song with obvious traces of editing multiple takes.
In this barren situation, the only thing that escaped destruction like Kitsunejima was the session on March 5th for the third single "From Me To You". Surprisingly, the session tape is completely left behind, and in addition, it documents the session of the same day in a size that fits comfortably on a single CD.
