Bob Dylan was very well received for his performance at Fuji Rock. From the first visit to Japan in 1978, which can be said to be the origin, we will release the best sound source in the best condition. That is the first day of Osaka on February 24th. If you are a Dylan enthusiast, many people will come to you just because it is the first day in Osaka. This is because it was released as the first audience recording item "FAR EAST TOUR 1978" in the history of the first performance in Japan. The sound source recorded there had very good sound quality, and it was a title that was highly evaluated not only by enthusiasts in Japan but also by enthusiasts around the world. Surprisingly, however, despite the excellent sound source, it never reoccurs, and even a copy board is not produced, which is a very rare phenomenon for Japanese performance items. ..
Also, there is a problem with the format of "FAR EAST TOUR 1978", and in the volume of 3 discs, the take from the 3rd day of Osaka was placed at the end of each disc on February 26, which was recorded by the same taper. In the end, it was put together with a mysterious editing sense that I could not listen to the show on the 24th through. The last was a mysterious edit that the take of "A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall" played at the opening was also adopted on the 26th, and it was put at the end of the third disc. On the other hand, the full-length version on the 26th was later released as a single unit as "A NIGHT TO REMEMBER", so the editing of "FAR EAST ~" seemed strange. In other words, although it was possible to release the full-length version of the pure 24-day sound source, that did not happen.
Also, regarding this sound source, a version touched by the master has spread on the net, and it has spread so widely that it can be easily downloaded on "GUITARS 101" rather than on the torrent site. Still, it was a strange situation that there was no sign that a new item was released on February 24th.
