Prior to the start of the European tour of "EARLS COURT 1978," Dylan and the band performed a week-long series at the Universal Amphitheater in LA. This was done as a warm-up gig in preparation for the upcoming tour. However, it is a tour that Dylan showed off at famous venues such as Budokan and Earl's Court. Under such circumstances, the gig in LA had a special position in 1978 when he traveled around the world.
The week-long gig had an audience of all performances and has been released many times since the time of LP. However, this time it will be the release of the first appearance sound source that recorded the performance on June 1st, which is the first day. However, unfortunately the audience recording is incomplete recording only for the second set. Still, there is a reason why we have decided to release the limited edition on the press CD this time. This recording was made by Mike Millard, a charismatic taper familiar with the transcendental recording of that "LISTEN TO THIS EDDIE" 1977 ZEP live show!
A new sound source by Mirrored whose existence was unknown until now, and a sound source recording Dylan's live, recently appeared among fans and became a hot topic. The first generation cassette tape, which was copied from Mirrored, was recently discovered. Unfortunately, only the second set was recorded, so it may be like the second day of ZEP Long Beach 75 in terms of position.
However, the sound quality is the highest level that can be called Mike Millard quality. In the midst of delicate tape hiss, the performance is recorded with a tremendous on-balance. In addition to such superb quality sound quality, Dylan and the band are playing the upper tension that seems to be the first day of warming up. Please thoroughly enjoy the performance that is a bit different from the usual tour with the best sound quality.
In front of this sound source that you want to call God recording, this time it will be released as a single disc that respects the state of the mirrored sound source. Although it is certainly incomplete in terms of content, it is a mirrored recording that is so elegant that it feels foolish to combine it with past sound sources. If you listen to it, you will definitely be satisfied. It is a guarantee that you can enjoy listening to and comparing with Earl's Court, which was held three weeks after this. After all Millard was amazing even if he recorded Dylan!
