The 1997 performance in Japan, where Dylan took the fourth Japan tour, was brilliantly decided in the first three days. Using the Tokyo International Forum, which had just opened (Bruce Springsteen lived before Dylan), it became the first concert venue in 1997 as well as coming to Japan. On the first day of the forum on February 9th, which was the first day of the event, not only was the encore flooded with fans before the stage, but the fans finally climbed the stage and shook hands with Dylan.
