[The legendary OG board is made into a CD for the first time at a normal pitch! 2nd reprint]
The reissue of the title "TOUR 74", which was released recently and is a complete recording of Eric Clapton's first visit to Japan on November 5, 1974 in Osaka with the finest stereo audience recording, is very popular. I have received it. At the time of 1974, I think it was greatly welcomed to create an environment where you could easily listen to the famous analog LP made in Japan, which was released exclusively for a small number of enthusiasts. If so, this week, the OG label also released "TOUR 74" at the same time, and the additional performance of Nippon Budokan on November 2nd, which was also released at the beginning of 1974, was completely recorded with a good audience recording "LIVE IN JAPAN". We have also decided to release a reprint of "!"
This work is a complete recording of the performance of a big rock artist who came to Japan in the early 70's by recording a high-quality audience, and the OG label, which is now legendary because it was released as an analog LP at that time, Limited to 200 at the end of 1974 (In the review of "TOUR 74", I wrote that it was limited to 500, but a subsequent investigation revealed that it was 200. The selling price at that time was 6,800 yen, the same as "TOUR 74". It was an analog 2LP released at the same time as "TOUR 74". After upgrading the "LIVE IN JAPAN", it will be completely reprinted and released! The master was used as the master, which was in the best preserved state. The value of this sound source is well known to Clapton fans who have entered the season, but since its release, the original master tape has never leaked to this day, so it has never been made into a CD. The performance on the same day can be watched because it has been released from multiple labels including our press 2CD "Light Up Your Face" (Tricone 059/060), but this OG master is still out of the gate. Therefore, it was a valuable sound source that can only be heard on this analog record. It's a different sound image from "TOUR 74", but it's a powerful and excellent recording that is clear enough to convey the enthusiasm of that Budokan, and is full of presence and atmosphere. Although it rarely appears in the second-hand market, it is said that the market price is at the level of 10,000 yen if it appears. This time, our shop borrowed the master that had been kept under good storage conditions for 47 years, played it on a modern high-end player, converted it to digital data, and upgraded it. Actually, because it was completely recorded on this master, 2LP, it was recorded at an abnormally fast pitch. The level was such that Clapton's voice quality changed. Therefore, in our shop, we have realized a complete reproduction by correcting the pitch of the master to normal and further upgrading to eliminate all scratch noise of the master. The sound at that time trapped in the master is intentionally left as it is. It is a release of confidence that it is only the main board that has made the pitch normal while faithfully reproducing the master. I think that even the old enthusiasts who have this master have never heard this sound source at a normal pitch. That will finally come true on the main board. This is a title that you should pay attention to.
