On July 12, the second day of their US tour from July to August 1969, New York recorded the Madison Square Garden performance in a monaural audience recording. This master was released on CDR in 2003 as the title MASTERPORT-190 of a collateral label, and it was sold out in a blink of an eye because of its preciousness. This is because the recorder of this tape was the late Ichiro Fukuda, who was already a prominent Japanese music critic at the time. He traveled to the United States to cover the rock situation in the United States, loaded a Sony C-90 tape into a portable cassette recorder he brought, and recorded only one side. It was a popular consumer device with a built-in monaural microphone, so it wasn't of outstanding quality, but it was recorded with a decent sound, which made it popular with enthusiasts. This time, when releasing on the press CD, the following points have been improved by remastering, and the quality has been upgraded to be suitable for the release on the press board. The texture of the vocals is made natural, and the excessive echo feeling on the guitar is reduced. As a result, the touch of arpeggio / solo etc. became clear. Also, the feeling of distortion has been reduced. In terms of sound, the bass was very prominent, but it was resolved by bringing other instruments to the front. On the contrary, the bass became clear with a proper mix. Since the original sound source is a vintage level that makes you feel the times, it is a difference from the audience recording in recent years, but if you are a maniac who has an existing board, you will be pleased to notice this difference.
