The first release of Eric Clapton in the new year of 2019 is the Low Genemaster from the familiar British resident Taper. The recording date is July 6, 1974, the stage at the Summerfest held at Rich Stadium in Buffalo, NY, USA. This was when Clapton made a dramatic comeback from his three-year drug addiction retirement and went on a national stadium tour. So far, a number of titles such as "Pittsburg 1974", "Tempe 1974", "Chicago 1974" have been released from the low Genemaster of this tour owned by the heavyweight Taper. This board was also a very easy-to-listen master that he had. This edition has the same monaural audience source as the previous edition, and like the previous edition, there are tape changes at 4:44 on Have You Ever Loved A Woman and 0:12 on Little Wing. However, if you compare it with the existing board, you can easily understand that the phase of the existing board was biased to the left channel from beginning to end, while the master of this board is properly phased to the center. It is a remarkable feature that it is a mix that makes you feel the expanse while being monaural. The sound quality is as clear as the existing board. This board is definitely the decisive board of the day.
Now, let's see how the performance of the day was positioned in this comeback year.
・ June 19th and 20th, 1974: Warm-up gig in Scandinavia for a national comeback tour
