The Stones have unearthed a wide range of rare sound sources from live to studio sessions, but the oldest recording of rehearsals before the album recording seems to be from February to March 1968 in Sally. Rehearsal recording at RG Jones Studios in Morden. By its nature, this was not a regular recording in the studio, but a rough private recording that captured the rehearsal pattern. However, the "pop band era" from the album "AFTERMATH" to "THEIR SATANIC MAJESTIES REQUEST" has ended, and the Stones have come to an end until the time when Andrew Oldham, who was the manager from the time of debut, produced the recording. It is also a very valuable sound source that captures the appearance of a transitional period trying to literally return to the origin as a result of the encounter with the producer Jimmy Miller.
The first time I saw the light of day was the LP called "1968 SURREY REHEARSALS". It was true that it recorded a valuable sound source, but basically the pitch was low, and in addition, it had a big problem that it went down steadily. Because of that, the contents centered on the instrument became more difficult to hear, and the fatal thing was that the draft instrument of "Jumping Jack Flash", which is the centerpiece of this sound source, was divided in the B side. That is. It was described as "the prototype of" JJF ", but incomprehensible" in fan club magazines at that time. After all, it was only an item for core enthusiasts.
