The scorching soundboard album, which is at its peak, is the reprint press decision. The pinnacle is "February 28, 1981 Buenos Aires performance". The best master album "BUENOS AIRES 1981 DEFINITIVE EDITION" containing the radio broadcast sound source is re-appearing in a new jacket.
Anyway, this Buenos Aires performance was a "mass of success". At that time, QUEEN was a big hit with the album "THE GAME" and the singles "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" and "Another One Bites the Dust". It swept the charts of each country and won the No. 1 in the United States. The world tour that jumped out with the tailwind was also a great success. While the world is turning to QUEEN, it was South America that was particularly enthusiastic. QUEEN, who had never visited South America before, realized the tour for the first time and achieved a huge success of mobilizing 500,000 people (!) In 7 performances. Moreover, the Buenos Aires performance was at the top. With only three performances, 300,000 people (!!) were gathered to become "the biggest concert in the history of Argentina". The show contained in this work is the first night. It is a "first show" that is a kick-off performance for the entire South American tour.
[Soundboard album of the highest peak version in history]
This concert was also broadcast on local radio songs, and the classic sound board has been known since that time. There have been several upgrades over the long history, but this is the pinnacle of it. The quality is exactly "top". All songs except "Get Down, Make Love" and "God Save The Queen" that were not broadcast are covered, and the reply of "Now I'm Here" that has not been suppressed many times has also appeared for the first time. If such a maximum scale is wonderful, the sound itself is also the highest ever. It uses a much younger master than the existing group, and the clearness, fine details, natural sound, and even one grain of sound are completely different.
The freshness further emphasizes the vividness of the sound board. Although it is not "official class" only for South American broadcasting in the early 80's, on the contrary, its rough "feeling of direct connection" is terrible. While a huge cheer can be heard faintly in the distance, the stereo feeling of panning is super vivid (the guitar solo after "Keep Yourself Alive" is amazing!). There are a lot of line recordings in the history of QUEEN, but I don't remember the record that John's bass is so close to the touch. Of course, since it is a revolutionary master up to that point, it is completely finished with perfect mastering including accurate pitch. As a matter of fact, when I reprinted the previous release "BUENOS AIRES 1981 DEFINITIVE EDITION", I tried to master it again, but I concluded that "No matter how hard I try, it won't be any more." We have decided to reprint the ultimate version as it is.
