The second of the astonishing world first appearance recordings has appeared. This time it's "JAZZ TOUR 1979" live in Japan!
"NAGOYA 1975 (Wardour-249)" released the other day caused a tremendous shock. There are some live shows that no one has ever heard, but what was even more shocking was the sound. The neat recording is so wonderful that I can't think of it in the 70's, especially in the latter half of the year, the sound board is also the best. It was a powerful title that even forgets the rarity of new excavations. However, the impact was still the beginning. In fact, the same recorder caught QUEEN in his third performance in Japan. This work is an audience album of the second performance of such a masterpiece collection, "April 14, 1979: Nippon Budokan" performance. This year's Japan tour had five times at Nippon Budokan, so let's first check the position of the show in the schedule for visiting Japan.
・ April 13: Nippon Budokan
・ April 14: Nippon Budokan [this work]
・ April 19 + 20: Osaka Festival Hall
・ April 21: Practical Ethics Memorial Hall
・ April 23-25: Nippon Budokan (3 performances)
・ April 27: Kobe Central Gymnasium
・ April 28: Nagoya International Exhibition Center
・ April 30 + May 1: Fukuoka Kyuden Gymnasium
・ May 2: Yamaguchi Prefectural Gymnasium
・ May 5th + 6: Makomanai Ice Arena
Above, all 15 large-volume performances. It has been a popular explosion since the first visit to Japan, but this is the third time. The boiling popularity climax is transmitted only by the schedule. This work was not only the second performance of Nippon Budokan, but also the second performance of the entire tour.
The quality of this work is superb. This show has long been known for its powerful recordings and has been loved as "PRIDE AND JOY (Wardour-047)". However, the sound of this work exceeds even that masterpiece! Although it was praised as "I don't think it's a Budokan", this work has a clearer and more brilliant sound. Compared to the previous ones, the venue sound is much less and it is transparent. In particular, the straightness of the mid-high range is outstanding, and vocals and guitar reach vivid like a laser beam.
