BLACK SABBATH in 1980, who made his first visit to Japan with Ronnie James Dio. An original recording that conveys the scene is now available.
This work was recorded at "November 20, 1980: Kyoto Kaikan". It is the masterpiece audience recording. Ronnie, who was the first visit to Japan by a big British band and was extremely popular at RAINBOW, was accompanied. We have archived the monumental tour with a number of masterpiece recordings. First of all, let's look back on the schedule at that time together with the collection and confirm the position of the show.
・ November 16: Nakano Sunplaza (evening part) "FACE OF EVIL"
・ November 16: Nakano Sunplaza (night section)
・ November 17: Nippon Seinenkan "DEFINITIVE BUER"
・ November 18: Nakano Sunplaza "EVILMANIA" etc.
× November 19: Nakano Sunplaza (cancelled)
・ November 20: Kyoto Kaikan ← ★ This work ★
・ November 21: Osaka Welfare Pension
Above, all 6 performances. Speaking of their first visit to Japan, the FM broadcast "November 18" of a certain broadcasting association is the symbol, but that live is also famous for being interrupted by Tony Iommi's food poisoning. The next day, "November 19th" was canceled. After that, the tour resumed with the recovery of Iommi. The Kyoto performance of this work was the first concert to resume. In addition, this Kyoto performance is known as an unexplored region even when it first comes to Japan. There are many recordings other than those introduced in our shop, but only in Kyoto, the number is extremely small. Moreover, the quality is not good enough, and there is no recording that reaches the level of a daimyo board. This work is a new excavation master who conveys such a site in Kyoto with a wonderful sound.
