The Beach Boys' 1971 North American tour, held at Stony Brook University in New York on September 26th, is being recorded for the first time from a newly excavated high-quality audience recording master!

Many of the songs on the album, including the title number, were performed at a live performance around the time of the release of the album "Surf's Up". Daryl Dragon (Captain), who would later become successful with Captain & Tennille, also participated as a support member for this tour, and the performance unique to a large band is sure to be a highlight.

Although the master has cuts in the two songs "Don't Go Near the Water" and "Heroes and Villains", they have been restored and recorded uncut from another performance of the same period. This is a highly recommended title that captures the Beach Boys in the early 1970s, which have been re-evaluated in recent years!
