"A REALITY TOUR" was the last world tour of Bowie's life. From the final edition, a new superb live album will be released.
"May 30, 2004 Atlantic City performance" is included in this work. It is the transcendental audience recording. Some people may be able to come by "2004" + "Atlantic City". At our shop, we once introduced the masterpiece of the press "ATLANTIC CITY 2004 1ST NIGHT (Wardour-297)", but this work is a separate performance. A live album that will be the day after the two consecutive performances at the same venue. Moreover, it is a super masterpiece that is thin to the quality!
Suddenly, I thought it was a "press name board" or a "next day edition", but I can't tell that unless I know "1ST NIGHT". To start from the beginning, let's start with the big picture of “A REALITY TOUR”.
● 2003
・ August 19: Warm-up gig
《September 16th release of “REALITY”》
・ October 7th-December 20th: Europe # 1 (35 performances) ← * Official
● 2004
・ January 7-February 7: North America # 1 (18 performances)
・ February 14-March 14: Oceania / Asia (13 performances)
・ March 29-June 5: North America # 2 (39 performances) ← ★ Coco ★
・ June 11-June 25: Europe # 2 (7 performances)
《June 25: Emergency transport due to aneurysm》
This is the last world tour of Bowie's life. Speaking of the symbol of this tour, it is the official board "A REALITY TOUR", but it is "Europe # 1" at the beginning. On the other hand, the Atlantic City performance of this work is "North America # 2" in the final stage, and the 35th performance that is approaching the final stage. It was the 12th full show in Bowie's life.
This work recorded at such a show is just the best. It's not as synchronized as the sound board "1ST NIGHT", but it must be very close. Bowie's singing voice and performance have a very thick core and can be felt right in front of you, and the separation of each instrument and the outline of each note are strangely clear. The sound output is very similar to "1ST NIGHT", probably because of the same venue. Although it seems to be a spatial recording, such as the real cheers of the audience, it is a transcendent sound that can only be felt as a sister work to "1ST NIGHT".
