Another "Isolar" tour sound source released on CD-R from the UXBRIDGE label at the same time as the famous performance Springfield that was performed in a tense situation is the Dusseldorf performance on April 8. After completing the American tour at Madison Square Garden, which I mentioned at Springfield, Bowie and his group will start their European tour after a two-week off. Speaking of the European leg of the "Isolar" tour, there was "ROTTERDAM 1976" which was sold out for a long time as a masterpiece of sound board, but other than that, it seems that the release of items has decreased in recent years.
In order to overcome such a situation, UXBRIDGE has released a maniac tearful audience album such as "PARIS 1976 2ND NIGHT" on "COPENHAGEN 1976" while CD-R.
Of course, all of them recorded the show completely, but this time Dusseldorf started recording from the middle of "Word On A Wing", and as a result, it is a compact one that fits on one disc. In addition, there are also weak cuts in the songs at the end of the live. In other words, it will be incomplete recording.
Nevertheless, there is a reason for this release. First and foremost, the sound quality is better than the two European items I mentioned earlier. Not only is it an audience for stereo recordings (as was Copenhagen), but the sound image of the performance is closer than those. It's not as close as a sound board, but it's very easy to hear the sound image that you can enjoy at a reasonable distance in addition to the wide feeling unique to stereo recording. To put it the other way around, if it was a complete recording of the show, it would definitely be treated as a press CD.
It is the performance of the day that shines with the charm of this sound quality. All the European items released so far, including the sound board Rotterdam, captured the pattern after the middle of the tour. On the other hand, this time is the second day of the European tour, which has never been seen before.
