商品説明
Jeff Beck in 1978 came to Japan with the virtuoso Stanley Clarke. The world premiere audience master of the shock is a new excavation.
The impact master was recorded at the "December 1, 1978: Nippon Budokan" performance. The recording in Japan in 1978 was very popular in the Jeff Collection, and was archived in many masterpieces. First, let's organize the collection according to the schedule at that time and confirm the position of the show.
・ November 20: Ibaraki Prefectural Cultural Center
・ November 22: Ishikawa Welfare Pension Hall
・ November 23: Kurashiki City Auditorium
・ November 24: Osaka Prefectural Gymnasium
・ November 26, "DEFINITIVE NAGOYA 1978"
・ November 28, "CAT MOVES (Fukuoka)"
・ November 29, "OSAKA 1978 2ND NIGHT"
・ November 30: Nippon Budokan "BUDOKAN 1978 DAY 1"
・ December 1: Nippon Budokan [this work]
・ December 2: Nippon Budokan "OUT OF DARKNESS"
* Only representative works on each day.
Above, all 10 performances. Introducing 6 performances after Nagoya, the last is Nippon Budokan 3DAYS. This work is a live album that conveys the middle of the day. And this show is known as the best performance in 1978. Stanley has been doing well since the beginning of the tour, but Jeff is in another shape. He was more unfamiliar than he was particularly ill. It was a show where I could hear some great performances and make some mistakes. It was in the latter half of the Japan tour that Jeff got better. Especially for the highlight of Nippon Budokan, the skill and accuracy improved, and on the second day of this Budokan, we arrived at the ensemble that was the completed form of the 1978 JEFF BECK GROUP. It was such a monumental show, but the recording side did not quite go as planned for the content. There have been many audience recordings so far, but none of them are good in terms of quality. While the greatness of the performance was well known, the sound alone did not lead to an overwhelming live album.
