A new superb live album of the legendary Super Trio is born. It is a permanent storage press decision.
The new masterpiece is engraved with "April 26, 1973 Seattle performance". Jeff Beck's first visit to Japan was in May 1973, so it was a concert about three weeks ago. It is the best audience recording.
It was a new excavation of recordings that had not been known until now, but it was a venerable brand with a sudden appearance. In fact, it is the master that the prestigious JEMS has released as a D & D archive series. "D & D" is the legendary recording duo Dave Departee & Donn Amick who was active in Seattle in the 70's. At JEMS, dozens of masters of this combination are archived. It seems that the speed of excavation has slowed down recently, but this work is one of the latest excavations that shines outstandingly.
Furthermore, the generation is the ultimate as a new excavation. The source was the oldest existing 1st Gene Cassette. It seems that it was the final rebirth after 45 years of trials, but it will remain forever at the last minute. Speaking of new excavations that have passed this much time, it is natural even if the recorder and system are unknown, but it is rare to understand so clearly. It also arrived through the hands of people who are known as prestigious and masters in the rock archive world. It is a live album that was born to be a masterpiece.
The sound that flows out of this work is wonderful to prove such a process with sound. It must be an audience recording that slightly sucked in the sound of the venue, but its delicacy and vividness of details make me lose words. The hitting sound of Carmine is clear to each of the cymbals that are beaten, and the boggart bass is swelling but the line is clear. Of course, Jeff's mischievous guitar that makes fun of the Super Rhythm section is also super clear. Furthermore, even the audience noise is miraculous. While you can fully enjoy the natural presence of zero action, each applause is clear. However, the balance is as wonderful as an official work with a fine mix, and it does not interfere with the subtleties of the playing sound at all. In addition to being so delicate, the sound is extremely glossy and beautiful. The freshness of the 1st Gene Cassette is so fresh that it is incredibly stable that it was the final reproduction. Only at 1:07 of "Sweet Sweet Surrender", the noise of tape deterioration is generated for a moment, but besides that, not only dubbing marks but also beautiful sounds with no twist or distortion continue endlessly.
In this work, the master of such a miracle has been further brushed up. In fact, JEMS emphasized the truth of the excavation and did not do any noise reduction or mastering. I hesitated to modify the brilliance of the miracle, but unfortunately the public sound source had a low pitch of about a semitone. That is also the truth of the 1st Gene Tape, but in this work I took the "truth of the field" rather than that. Corrects the pitch accurately and relaxes the reverberant range. It was decided to reproduce and deliver the "sound that was ringing in the field".
The show drawn with such a sound is ... a legendary scene. The set is very similar to the upcoming performance in Japan, but the performance itself is even more intense and lively than the masterpiece "LIVE IN JAPAN". A masterpiece that makes the traditional official board hazy is spelled out with superb sound.
